Founder Jim Halfhill Sr. is a proud Lexingtonian, graduate of Lafayette High School, and attended Transylvania University. He is currently enjoying his 49th year in the real estate industry and has been associated with Rector-Hayden Realtors since 1979. After developing a passion for auctions, he founded Halfhill Auction Group in 1991.
Throughout his career, Jim has been dedicated to helping individuals and families across Central Kentucky through both real estate and auction services. Today, he is joined in the day-to-day operations of Halfhill Auction Group by his son, Jim Halfhill Jr., and daughter, Kristin Halfhill-Larimore. Together, the family combines their individual strengths and experience to continue serving the community with professionalism, integrity, and a client-first approach.
